Event Details
YLC Wednesday at the Square is a free, 12-week concert
series with food and drink for sale to benefit
the Young Leadership Council. Local artisans also
sell their work in the Artist Village near the
Camp Street entrance.
After Hurricane Katrina, the DDD refocused its
resources on its primary mission of economic development
and handed off management of the series completely
to the YLC. The DDD remains a major sponsor of
the event.
Location:
YLC Wednesday at the Square is located at Lafayette
Square on St. Charles Avenue in the CBD across from
Gallier Hall. For a map and more specific directions,
click the map to the right.
Time & Dates:
Concerts are held every Wednesday from March 24 to June 9, 2010 from 5:00 to 7:30 pm, rain or shine.
Parking:
$5 parking is available at 650 Poydras Street after
4pm.
Cost & Tickets:
Supported by our sponsors and food and drink sales,
we are able to offer the concert series free to
attendees. Did you know that food and drink tickets
may be purchased in advance? Order
now, and avoid the lines!
Food and Drink:
Please remember to support our sponsors, and do not bring outside food or drinks. Concession sales keep it free! All food and beverage is available for tickets. Tickets can be purchased at each concert, or you can order them online!
What should I bring?
Lawn chairs, cameras, pets and children are all
welcome!
Attention: Pet Owners
For the protection of our “Wednesday at the Square”™ patrons, all pets must be kept on a leash with a maximum length of 6 feet at all times. Animals exhibiting aggressive behavior are not permitted. Owners are asked to immediately remove an animal that exhibits aggressive behavior. By entering the concert area, owners agree to be solely liable for the actions of their pets. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
